Mini me's!
Our children have many opportunities in which to build their confidence, independence, self-esteem and responsibility. One such opportunity is our 'mini-me's'.
Our mini-me's are mini midday supervisors who support others to eat a healthy meal during lunchtime. A small number of children take it in turns over a week to wear midday aprons and support in the hall. If you were to visit, you may see the Mini me's doing some of the following activities:
- Encouraging others to eat their healthy lunchtime meal
- Giving out stickers for good eating, good drinking and calm talking
- Helping the midday supervisors to give accompaniments such as tomato sauce
- Helping children to clear their plates
- Helping midday supervisors to pour the water for other children
- Helping midday supervisors to set the tables
Our children love having these responsibilities and they always are eager to help others, showing their skills and confidence in their mini me job role and being a role model for others too!
